Q. I've placed a bid, how will I know if I win?

eBay sends out emails to all winning bidders letting them know they've won and how to proceed with making payment.

Q. I've won the auction! What happens next?

You will receive an email from eBay with the total amount owing and payment instructions. You will need to make payment as eBay doesn't automatically charge you for your winning auction; payment is done separately between you and our auction managers AuctionJAM.

Q. What methods of payment do you accept?

The accepted methods of payment are PayPal and cash (cash for pick-ups only). Payment must be negotiable in Canada. If paying with a credit card, we only accept credit card payments through PayPal (you are not required to have a PayPal account yourself). We will also accept cash payment if you are doing a pick-up (we will not accept cash through the mail).

Q. I've made my payment, how long until my item will be shipped?

When the auction ends, we request that you make payment within three business days. Items are usually shipped within three business days of receiving payment. Item's are being shipped from Toronto, Canada.

Q. Can I pick-up my item rather than having it shipped?

Yes, we are happy to offer free pick-up in North York (Toronto) from the auction managers' office. The pick-up address is:

Pick-up hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, by appointment only.

Q. Can I pay at time of pick-up?

Yes, you may make payment for your item at time of pick-up however we only accept cash payments in exact change at time of pick-up. We do not accept cash through the mail. We also cannot accept credit cards or have you login to your PayPal account at time of pick-up. The amount owing if doing a pick-up is your winning bid amount only.

Q. If I buy more than one item, will you combine shipping to save me some money?

Yes, we are happy to combine items for shipping whenever possible to save you money on shipping. Combined shipping will depend on the packaging and shipping needs of your items (some items must be packaged and shipped separately because of their size, weight, or because they are fragile). The combined shipping fee/cost will be determined by: the size and weight of the package, the destination, and the cost of total insurance on the package.

Q. Are there any extra costs?

The cost of the item is your high-bid amount + shipping. The shipping cost of each item can be found in the item's description/auction page.

Q. Is there sales tax on my purchase?

No, as this is a charity auction and all items were donated, there is no sales tax on your purchase.

Q. I see the money is going to charity - is this purchase tax deductible?

The seller will not be issuing a tax receipt as you are buying an item rather than making a donation. Please contact your personal tax advisor for more information on this issue.
