General Condition: A 2008 out of water survey rates the Vagabond ‘above average’ after restoration. Rebuilt 1974 replacement engine (not the original); two new fuel tanks, 75 gallon capacity each; all new marine grade wiring with service panel installed at helm; battery charger installed; four (4) 12 V bilge pumps with automatic float switches; all mahogany vintage helm station with wooden steering wheel; beautiful upholstery – leather and fabric – throughout; and an exterior paint job completed last summer. Photos don’t show the blue canvas cockpit cover and helm doors and the side view photo is before the boot stripe was painted. The Vagabond was built by Carl Adams in NJ in 1959. His Modern Boat Works was legendary and the founders of Pacemaker and Egg Harbor apprenticed there. During Prohibition, rum runners depended on his tough sea skiffs for their cargo and during WWII, President Roosevelt named Adams master shipbuilder in charge of constructing Army Aircraft Rescue ships. Even Babe Ruth had one. The boat is sturdy with classic style and needs continuing love and care and skill to reach her full potential. The only major issues keeping her in the yard now are the nine (9) or so ribs in the bow section (the head) that require replacing and the foredeck that needs recaulking to prevent water infiltration. Currently under wraps and on the hard in Delaware City. Bonus: Tools, tarps, sanders, and other materials too numerous to mention amassed over time and currently in storage. Amount: $10,000.

Have name of great wooden boat mover. Very good prices. Will consider sharing the moving costs.
