Her process involves painting with acrylic paint and acrylic matte medium( both as a sealer and sealant)..This in fact recreates the image as a new art form /painting in which other elements are introduced. Her art becomes in fact an interesting hybrid of collage and painting..with a twist of whimsy and realism. After many years as a classical painter and illustrator Heather has found a style which works for her and helps expand upon her imagination and fondness for preserving the past..

Heather Murray is a professional Canadian artist who has sold her work extensively in her twenty five year career. She studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design and has exhibited in various galleries and juried shows over the past several years. Her medium of choice at present is collage and mixed media, but she is drawn to the human and animal form for painting as well. Most recently she has expanded her repertoire to include abstract painting.Her work has been described as quirky and edgy -and her art often contains a sense of moodiness, and storytelling. she is comfortable with experimentation in her work and is excited by new challenges and the possibilities there in.After living lifelong in Toronto ,Ontario she has comfortably and contentedly moved to Chatsworth Ontario where the natural beauty and cultural offerings have enriched her soul .
