A wonderful old Markneukirchen violin

The instrument for sale is a wonderful old Markneukirchen violin. It was made late in the 19th century, around 1890/1900 in Markneukirchen. The length of back is 36,3 cm, size is a large fullsize. This beautiful instrument is a handmade piece that we find especially beautiful. The large model is after Stradivarius, however, the violin is unlabeled/ The back is a two piece back of flamed maple. The varnish is of a gorgeous golden red/brown color with beautiful patination!

The violin is repaired and has some table repairs, one of them a longer repair under the tailpiece, in some inner distance to the right bridge foot (relatively close, but not at soundpost). The back is undamaged. One wormtrace is in the lower left rib (check sideview pic), this is the only evidence of worm that we could make out. The violin is sold as found with the old setup and strings - the violin can in principle be played after putting on new strings.
