This offer is for a custom, hand drawn & hand painted original watercolor home or building portrait from your photograph or digital image. The actual image area will be 9" x 12", ready for you to mat and frame, executed on professional, acid free watercolor paper.

Paintings of family or childhood homes are cherished for many years and bring back memories of special places and events. House portraits make one of a kind house warming (or house leaving) gifts, wedding gifts, or the perfect closing gift for a realtor to give a new home buyer.

How it works

Within 2 - 4 weeks* from the time I receive your payment and photograph I will email a photograph of your finished painting for your approval. If you need to know an exact completion date, please email me to check on my current work load.

 After your approval, I will mail your painting via USPS, Priority Mail with insurance & delivery confirmation. I accept payment through PayPal only. The cost for shipping is $8.75 within the United States. Please contact me for international shipping charges.

You may mail or email (jpeg files please) a clear photo with detailed instructions for changes, additions or items you want deleted from the reference photo. I can change the season, add a pet, take out the neighbor's houses or phone wires etc. I work best from one overall photo of the house from the angle you want depicted in the painting, then several close-up photos of details. It is also very helpful if all photos are taken from the same viewpoint.  I also work from old photos if the house is no longer available. Please email any questions you may have concerning your photos 

Experience:

I have worked as an architectural illustrator for an architectural design firm and have over 25 years of experience painting house portraits and other commissioned work. The watercolor house portraits below are samples of my work. Please see my other listings for additional sizes and to view more of my paintings. I run auctions for my most popular sizes, however, if you would like a painting in a size other than those listed, please email me. I will gladly run an auction for the size you desire.
