Sony Europe announces the introduction of new high-end DV Handycam within its mini DV family that establishes new standards in image quality, user functions and network interfacing capabilities. The DCR-TRV50 provides the highest video quality (530 lines) as well as unrivaled photo quality (1, 362 x 1, 020 pixel) available in the mini DV format. This enhanced photo quality allows users to print higher resolution and larger copies of their favorite images. The DCR-TRV50's superb image capture capabilities are reinforced by market leading PC and remote network interfacing capabilities. This model incorporates Bluetooth wireless communication capabilities connecting the camcorder and other Bluetooth compatible AV/IT devices, specifically mobile telephones. A significant feature for the model is video streaming via the USB port. This feature transforms these camcorders into advanced Webcams within an Internet-based video communication network or alternatively allow PCs without Sony's innovative i.LINK interface to mimic their video streaming capabilities direct to PC.

                                        Why Do Pros Still Use Tape?
If you want, I will send you an article why tape is still the best recording media. After all, you can always drag a tape across a head and even Fix them too. But when a hard drive in a camcorder crashes, a memory card (flash drive) goes bad or has a file error, or a DVD gets scratched, you're out of luck (SOL)! Memory sticks are only guaranteed for about 10 years, and who knows about Home Made DVD's. Digital Tape has a shelf life of at least 50 years and you always have the raw stock to edit another copy.
 

Unlike Other Media, (DVD, Flash, and Hard Drive) Tape Is Uncompressed, Easier To Edit, and A Better Picture.


Compared To The Newer Mid Range Sony HC Series Camcorders, This One Will Out Perform Them In Picture and Audio Quality Hands Down. It Still Has A Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonner   Lens, and Not The Cheaper Vario-Tessar One. And A Bigger 37mm Lens For More Light. (good in low light and the best in it's class)

 

This Would Make A Great Family Camcorder, As It's Easy to Use. Everything Works and The Camcorder Is In Very Nice Shape. The LCD and Lens Are Perfect. This Is A Clean Camcorder That Takes Great Digital Video and Audio
