Item specifics - Parts & Accessories
Part Brand: Blue PointWarranty: No
Manufacturer Part Number: 3R250ACondition: Used
This an older model of the Blue Point 1/2" ratchet / torque wrench by Snap on tools. This version ( 3R250A ) is rare and hard to find on the internet. This tool does not carry the full warranty that comes with Snap On tools, which is the major reason they are able to offer the Blue Point line at a reduced price. The warranties are not even transferred between owners anyway. I believe that this design with the click wheel to switch from tighten to loosen is more sturdy, and longer lasting, than the newer models with the lever switch. This guy was only used in a personal garage as opposed to a automobile repair shop. I do not remember the last time this tool was calibrated but I always set the adjustment back to 0 in order to maintain the internal components. The torque can be set anywhere from 0-250 Ft.-Lbs. depending on the specifications that you are working with.  It is a good investment that will hold its value indefinitely and/or will provide years of loyal service to a serious home mechanic or a small motor vehicle repair shop. Good luck in the auction!!!
