Schmiedl Thermostatic Mixing Valve Knob Celsius or Fahrenheit
GUSTAV SCHMIEDL ARMATURENFABRIK GESELLSCHAFT M.B.H. & CO is the full name of the company. They are Austrian and make all kinds of kitchen and bath plumbing products. Very ‘top-of-the-line’, with prices to match. They have a website but I have not found an English translation.
The Thermostatic Mixing valve regulates hot and cold water for the tub or shower.
Selling is JUST a replacement knob for the valve, not the complete valve. I have 2 versions; an older style marked with Celsius degrees; and the present model marked in Fahrenheit. Both are chrome plated brass. They are NOS, unused and in excellent condition. I took them out of their original bags for the photos.
The present model (though in Celsius) is part number GS 0491 and retails for 59 to 76 Euros (Knob only!)
The Celsius model is the one with ‘wings’ and a black plastic ring around the base, with white markings. The Fahrenheit model has the markings in black.
