This is one of my favorites in the collection, it is a watercolor painting of Old Fort Garry as it would have appeared in 1870, and notes that it was demolished in 1882, I assume this painting was completed not long after the second date. This fine piece is by the listed Canadian artist E.J. Hutchins and is very finely done, I particularly like that the artist added people into the painting. The frame looks like the original, but it is hard to know, either way it compliments this art quite nicely and measures approx 28" by 22-1/4", showing some signs of age and wear. The painting itself is in excellent condition and is sure to be a hit with any art lover. I am sure this would sell for a handsome price at a live auction or in a gallery, but with my low opening bid and NO RESERVE someone could score a huge bargain !! Don't miss out...bid now !!

We make great effort to accurately describe each item listed. Returns are accepted, if either condition, country of origin or dating is significantly incorrect. In such cases we refund your shipping costs as well. Like you, we are only human, and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. But remember, the items you see are antiques. Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how "small" four inches might be once in hand. Also all returns must be posted within 3 days of delivery confirmation.
