Progress Technology Rear Anti-Sway Bar ( RSB )
Progress Technology Anti-Sway Bars reduce body roll and improve chassis response for more cornering power. Anti-Sway Bars are precision-formed and powder coated (graphite color) alloy steel. Polyurethane bushings produce instant roll response on turn-in and have been tested at over 1.0g lateral acceleration on the skid pad. The Progress anti-roll bars improve lateral stability without stiffening normal suspension movement. Anti-roll bars minimize body roll, which stabilizes the tire contact patch for maximum traction. This is important because all of the weight and power of your vehicle is transmitted to the road over a mere handful of square inches called the tire contact patch. Most FWD street cars have moderate understeer or "PUSH". These sway bars are designed to improve overall balance by the use of proportionately stiffer rear bars. The car will have a "neutral" feel, with a gentle push at it's limits. When one side of your vehicle's suspension compresses, or pushes down on the springs, the anti-sway bar is pulled up. The resulting twist in the bar forces the other end to pull down. This force will lift the compressed corner of the vehicle and pull down on the unloaded wheel on the other side. The result: your vehicle will lean less and handle better and more predictably! You'll have better control when maneuvering through lane changes and tight turns!
