I earned my degree as a translator for English and German in the fields of economics at the renowned Johannes-Gutenberg-University Mainz, department of Applied Linguistics and Culture in Germersheim, Germany.

Since August 1998, I have been working as a freelance translator. I am a member of the BDÜ, the German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators; this establishes a mark of quality, because not everybody who calls himself or herself a translator is accepted.

Over the last 10 years, I have gained a lot of valuable experiences working among others for diverse translation offices in translating economic, medical, and advertising texts. However, I do prefer working directly with the customer on texts to be published – just like web sites!
