Poppies Meaning

The flower symbolism associated with poppies is beauty, magic, consolation, fertility and eternal life. The Egyptians included poppies at funerals and in burial tombs. The Greeks used poppies in the shrines of Demeter, goddess of fertility, and Diana, goddess of the hunt. Poppies denote sleep, rest and repose. In modern times, poppies have been associated with Flanders fields as an emblem of those who died in World War I.

Tatjana is originally from Serbia (South Europe). She  lives and works in Canada, Ontario, Mississauga (Toronto). 

WORK EXPERIENCE: She is experienced in fine art, mosaics, murals, brochures, logos, web design and digital images. She used to work as an illustrator for children storybooks and poems.

EDUCATION: Five years of art education in different fields such as fine art, illustration, graphical and web design and computer imaging.

Her paintings decorate many homes and offices in Europe and Canada. You can find her paintings at yessy.com.

I have always loved to draw and paint. Living in a new country with incredible nature inspires me. Presently, I am focused on cityscape and seascape abstracts using light, shades and color contrast . My favorite techniques are Oil, Watercolor and Acrylic.
