OBERHEIM MATRIX 1000 VERY GOOD CONDITION

What you are bidding on here is a Matrix 1000 (the rackmount PLAYBACK ONLY version of the Oberheim Matrix 6). This is one of two (2) Oberheim Matrix 1000 I am selling. It was bought by me in the late 80's. One owner, smoke free studio. It is in very good condition, with a very few scratches from rack installation. It works perfectly and sounds great. From the '80s, for those who know... no explanation is necessary.

For those who don't know... Made in the 1980's, originally all black color, then reproduced in this millenium, but all white color. This one is an original from the 80's. 6 voices (2 DCOs per voice... Thats "Digitally Controlled Occilators", which means the synth stays in tune), analog filters (which means smooth sweeping of the filter, no "stair-stepping" noise as you sweep the filter), FAT analog synth sounds for pads, "horns", strings, leads, and more. It stores and plays 1000 Matrix 6 patches (800 preset patches, 200 user patches). That great Oberheim synth sound in a 1U rackmount unit.

It's not possible to edit the sounds with only this unit, just to select from the 1000 presets, and play them back. If you want to edit, there are many, many universal editor programs available for Mac or PC, and hardware editors (with knobs and sliders) such as the original Oberheim Matrix 6/R and Access-'s Matrix Programmer or a Novation remote and the "Matrix 2001" software or the Behringer BCR to make new patches (edit and load programs) via MIDI
