Lira Mod 7 Accordion International Pearl Gold Metallic
It’s polka time!
We present for auction a vintage Mod 7 Lira accordion made by International. This button box works well, and can make great sounds in the hands of a skilled musician. In our unskilled hands, it sounds like torturing a clown.
The marbleized pearl casing looks fantastic, giving this instrument a great unique appearance. The bellows is entirely intact, showing no damage. When closed, this piece measures just 15" wide by roughly 17" tall. The 11” button board has all 120 round amber colored bass keys (some of which are settled into the pressed position, and one is missing, indicating it will need light work). The opposite side boasts 24 main keys and 17 minors, with the minors finished in an orange copper glittery metallic. The embellishments on the housing have an art deco design to them, giving a classic appearance. The leather straps are in fair shape for their age, with some mold from storage and one broken shoulder strap. They could use replacing before an enthusiastic polka player works their magic.
