The pitchblack is the same size as a compact effect unit, and features a tough aluminum die cast body that will endure hard use on the road or in the studio. While small in size, it boasts a large, easy to read LED meter with a light-emitting surface for excellent visibility in any setting from daylight, to stage light to no light as well as an extremely smooth eleven-segment LED meter that allows accurate visual tuning from any angle.
With a red LED that indicates the tuner's on/off status, a large note name display, and a tuning guide that indicates whether your instrument is sharp or flat, you'll always be able to tune quickly and accurately in any situation. The pitchblack provides a tuning range of E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4,186 Hz), and adjustable calibration between 436--445 Hz.
The pitchblackâs LED meter can be switched between four display modes including: Meter, Full Strobe, Half Strobe, and Mirror.
Meter mode - Similar to using a needle meter, tune your instrument so that the green LED in the center of the LED display lights and both tuning guide LEDâs are lit. The tuning LEDâs will be to the right of center if your instrument is sharp, and to the left of the center if your instrument is flat.
Full Strobe mode - Tune your instrument so that the LED meters stop streaming and both tuning guide LEDâs are lit. The LED meters will stream from left to right if your instrument is sharp and from right to left if your instrument is flat.
Half Strobe mode - Tune your instrument so that the LED meters stop streaming and only the green LED in the center is lit and both tuning guide LEDâs are lit. The LED meters will stream to the right of center if your instrument is sharp, and to the left of center if your instrument is flat. When the pitch is correct, only the center LED will be lit.
Mirror mode - Tune your instrument so that the two LEDs on the left and right sides of the center LED meet in the middle and both tuning guide LEDâs are lit. The pitch lit LEDs will spread farther apart the more your instrument is out of tune. The left tuning guide will light if your instrument is flat, and the right tuning guide will light if your instrument is sharp.
100% True Bypass output keeps your tone intact. The pitchblack mutes the input signal for silent tuning, and when youâre not tuning the input is passed directly to the output jack without being affected by any circuitry (True Bypass). So even if you connect the pitchblack between several of your favorite pedals, the signal will pass without going through the internal buffer amp, ensuring that the sounds you've created using your effects will not be colored in any way. The pitchblack is designed to coexist transparently with other effect pedals.
A perfect fit in your pedal board plus the DC output powers other pedals. The pitchblack is designed to fit conveniently into your pedal board system. It provides a DC OUT jack that can supply power to other effect pedals when the optional AC adaptor is used. By connecting optional DC cables, you can supply up to 200 mA of power to multiple effect pedals, simplifying the power connections in your pedal board.

International Shipping
We can ship this item to almost anywhere in the world using the United States Postal Service (USPS). You can email us for an exact shipping quote to your country before you purchase this item. Please note that USPS stated delivery times do not include time spent in Customs, which can vary.
Buyer is responsible for any local taxes, duties or customs fees, which will be collected when item is delivered. Items will be declared at actual purchase price as "commercial sample" -- we cannot declare items at a lower price or as "gift" or "used" -- no exceptions!
USPS First Class Mail International (FCMI) is 3-6 weeks to most countries, but can take longer. No tracking, delivery time can vary greatly.
USPS Priority Mail International (PMI) provides tracking only to major cities. Delivery time is 2-4 weeks or more, depending on time spent in Customs. Priority Mail service may be considered "expedited" in some countries which may incur additional Customs fees.
USPS Priority Mail to Canada - Trackable to major cities, about 1-2 weeks delivery depending on time spent in Customs. Items made in the U.S. will be declared as MADE IN USA for Customs purposes.
USPS Express Mail International (Global Express Mail - RECOMMENDED) is 3-5 days plus time in Customs, about 1-2 weeks total, trackable and insured, typically $25-35 depending on country and weight of package. This service is available during checkout from our web site. USPS Express Mail service has a guaranteed delivery time of 3-5 business days (including time in Customs) to Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Spain (except Canary Islands), and South Korea.
USPS Express Mail Guaranteed (Global Express Guaranteed) is 3-4 business days including time in Customs, trackable and insured, typically $50-80 depending on country and weight of package. This service is available by request only, and is not available to all countries. Delivery is by Federal Express and may incur higher fees. This service is not available in some countries.
We do NOT ship via Fedex, UPS or DHL outside of the United States (except through USPS Express Mail Guaranteed via Fedex).

Warranty and Returns
Warranty - The products we sell are brand new in the box and covered under the manufacturer's warranty, unless otherwise specified in the auction listing. We do not perform warranty repairs -- all warranty service and replacement is performed by the manufacturer. Buyer should contact the manufacturer of the product for warranty service during the warranty period.
International Warranty - When an item is shipped outside of the United States, it is covered by the U.S. warranty only, and must be serviced in the United States. If the product is defective or requires warranty service, it must be sent back to us for service. This includes products that are defective on arrival, as they may have been damaged in transit or during installation. Buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping in both directions for warranty items. Please contact us for return information before returning any items for warranty service.
Returns - We accept returns of new, unopened items within 30 days of purchase. We do not accept returns of opened or installed items, or where an installation has been attempted. Returned items must be in brand new, resellable condition with all of the original parts and packaging intact and unmodified. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for returns - all packages shipped to us without a return authorization will be refused.
