Appalachian Handmade Hickory Bow Harp. Great for use with Mountain Music, Blue Grass and Jug Bands. It has even been used to add a different sound to rock bands. Probably the first string instrument used by primitive man. A traditional instrument used in Appalachia. Bow harps have been used by Jimmy Driftwood, Buffie Saint Marie, Van Morrison and Ozark Mountain Daredevils on recordings. It produces a twang with its single guitar string. The real sound is the harmonics that are created through your mouth. By moving your mouth into different positions you are able to create different harmonic sounds. Bow harps are lots of fun.
