Here's a gorgeous old antique violin made by Hopf.

GERMAN MADE

Auction is for a

HOPF GERMAN ANTIQUE VIOLIN 4/4

Maybe from WW1 or WW2?

Could be worth $100 or $20000. You decide.

I am not sure.

This violin looks AMAZING, but for sure needs attention and repair.

Comes from smoke free home.

For Sale is a full size Antique Violin marked HOPF on the back. It has a two piece back.

 

The instrument is in OK condition overall with some cracks at the neck. 

 

Please refer to pictures.

The pegs (one of them) does not match but are functional. They are tight and they hold.

One note: Just to determine its age. On the carry case there are two little protuding halfmoon shaped things. Its made of Porcelain. Porcelain? Just the two little porcelain balls must worth something.

 

 Has the makings of an exceptional fiddle. Included in the auction is the instrument, very old wooden case WW1? and a bow which is in ok condition.

The bow is made of wood. Any questions please ask.

 

 I dont know much about violins at all. I will try my best to describe it. Looks like it has been worked on before, and has been repaired and the top need to be glued in some places. Please look at pictures.

The dimensions are:

 

23 1/4 long

Widest point at back is 8 inches.

and its 1.5 inches thick.

I will have it wrapped really really really well. So no strings or any
other part will get damaged. It will be mailed in a specially made box.

wrapped nicely, mailed in timely manner, shipped out 1-2 days after
payment clears. Customers asking constanly about shipping and when will
it arrive, I do NOT know. I sell and I have no control over the postal
service. As for me, please dont ask me. You pay and I PROMISE it will be
shipped. I will provide tracking number and insurance whenever possible.
