This is a rare opportunity for you to own an ORIGINAL, one-of-a-kind painting by actress Arlene Duncan. All proceeds from the sale of this painting will go to The Kidney Foundation of Canada so that the Foundation can continue to fund much needed kidney research and improve the lives of people living with kidney disease.
Arlene Duncan is an acting, singing, song writing triple threat. Best known for her current role as Fatima Dinssa on the international hit series Little Mosque on the Prairie, Arlene has enjoyed a long list of professional successes.
Born and raised in Oakville, Canada, Arlene Duncan’s career has taken her around the world: through Europe, the United States, and across Canada, travelling as far north as the Arctic and far south as New Zealand!
Arlene has appeared in numerous notable film and television projects including the role of Harriet Tubman, both on stage and then again reprising the part in the Gemini-nominated television production of Sing out Freedom Train. Arlene is familiar to viewers from recurring roles on the Showtime series Soul Food, the CBC series Drop the Beat and the internationally acclaimed CTV series Degrassi the Next Generation.
Her numerous theatrical credits include Sophisticated Ladies, Once on this Island, Jacob Two Two and the Hooded Fang and Dora Award-winning productions of Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Nutmeg Princess, and The Who’s Tommy.
She was awarded the Artistic Merit Award representing Canada as a vocalist at the Pacific Song Festival in New Zealand and later co-hosted the show live via satellite to 8 countries along the Pacific Rim. Arlene has also received an ACTRA award nomination for her performance in the CBC television special ALL FOR One.
On the musical front, Arlene was a winner and later the co-host of DuMaurier Search for Stars, was awarded Female Vocalist of the Year at the Canadian Black Music Awards, and BLAC 1994 Female Vocalist of the Year- Hall of Fame Award Winner for Dance/House music. She can also be heard in the recurring role of Betty Parker in the CBC radio mystery series THE OLD GUY.
Aside from Little Mosque on the Prairie, Arlene’s other recent film and television credits include: the Disney remake of The Music Man, Eloise at Christmastime, Regenesis, Get Rich or Die Trying, and This is Wonderland.

Paypal is the preferred payment method, although we will accept credit card over the phone for Canadian purchasers. If you are local to Fredericton, New Brunswick and would prefer to pick your painting up in person at our office, please message us and we will not charge for shipping. Local pick-ups can pay by cash.
Our preferred shipping method is through UPS at the excellent rates indicated ($12 anywhere in Canada, $20 anywhere in the USA using UPS Express Saver). However, if you would prefer a different method of shipping, please message us. We want to make your experience as easy as possible and we are pleased to ship using the method you prefer.
