You are bidding on this old, "J.W. JENKINS SONS" Cornet or Trumpet that was purchased from a Estate Sale along with some other early Instruments - Items (SEE OTHER AUCTIONS AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGE- Click on smaller Pictures to enlarge them). The Trumpet looks to still be in very good condition with some light surface wear throughout and no dents, dings or repairs. The 3 Keys work fine, will need oiled, while the slides and spit valves are fine as well. The bell is approx. 4 3/4" in diameter while it's Serial Number is 6543. The section near the bell is engraved, "THE PERFECTED HARWOOD-PROFESSIONAL AMERICAN MADE GENUINE HARWOOD REGISTERED TRADE MARK WARRENTED FOR 10 YEARS J.W. JENKINS SONS MUSIC CO. K.C. MO. SOLE AGENT USA". It comes with a unmarked Mouthpiece (it has the #1 on it), Sheet Music Holder and it's original Case. The Case has some surface wear and no odors. Nice, old Trumpet that will make a great addition to any collection.
