Up for auction are these two Noel Wisdom silhouettes, Man and Woman, that have been framed together. Each picture is 6"x 4" and framed as one, 14" x 11". Both are stamped "Noel Wisdom Chicago".

Noel Wisdom was very well known for his silhouettes and was considered one of the best silhouette artists. He was born in Chicago in 1896 but was raised in England and served in World War l. Because he did so well with his silhouettes, he travelled the world on the money he made collecting art along the way. He died in 1983 and donated his collection that he had gathered to the University of Southern Florida Special Collections.
