A note about the colours...
In some cases, colours may not be exactly as they appear on your monitor. Samples are outlined in white to distinguish from background but will not have white trim on final design.
What is a JPEG file?
JPEG is the same format as the digital photos you take with your own digital camera. The file you receive can be treated exactly as any other digital photo. You can send it to the lab using a store's online photo website or save the file to a CD and bring it in to the lab in person.
What size will the photo card be?
These files are created specifically to be printed as 4x6 prints. That is the standard print and it usually costs 12-19 cents per print at your local photo lab. Another GREAT option for you is that you can also print an enlargement (8x12) with the same JPEG file! Perfect for framing or scrapbooks! If you print any size other than the two mentioned you will compromise the design because some cropping will occur. 5x7 available upon request but they will cost you more to print.
What kind of photos should I send?
Your photos should be taken with a camera that is at least 3 MP. Please do not compress the photos or try to adjust them in any way. I will do basic touch-ups such as red-eye removal and I can remove small blemishes or scratches. Please send the number of photos that your chosen design contains. If you have a preference for where you'd like specific photos to be placed please let me know. Photos with no clutter in the background will look better than those with a lot of objects or people in the background. If you are sending photos that have been taken by a professional photographer, by sending them you are acknowledging that you have obtained the rights to use those photos. By sending any photos you agree not to hold me liable if you do not hold proper copyright permission for those photos. Please discuss this with your photographer.
Can you convert my colour photos to Black and White?
Yes! Please send your colour photos as they are and I will convert to Black & White or Sepia at your request. This request needs to be mentioned when you send in your order.
How long will it take to receive a proof?
You will receive a proof within 24-72 hours. After seeing the proof, you can request modifications. Please examine your proof carefully. Please allow another 24-72 hours each time a change is requested.
