The seller is offering a very rare original Kodachrome slide of the US-flag Great Lakes bulkcarrier BUFFALO as shown while under way off Port Huron MI in July 1976. Built in 1917 as FRANK H. GOODYEAR for J.Mitchell, she became DIAMOND ALKALI in 1939 for Boland & Cornelius who then renamed her BUFFALO in 1976 as depicted on the present slide. She was renamed SAGINAW BAY in 1978 before going to the breakers at Vigo in 1985. This truly remarkable sharp sunny view was taken from the Bluewater Bridge with a
professional 35mm SLR camera using a high quality 50mm standard lens.
I can attest that this slide is devoid of marks, scratches and
blemishes as well as to its high quality, much better than this low
resolution scan. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to
contact the seller. |
