The seller is offering a very rare original Kodachrome slide of the 1943-built US-flag Great Lakes United Steel Corp bulkcarrier GEORGE A. SLOAN as shown in US Bicentennial colors while under way off Port Huron MI in July 1976. She was sold out of the Fleet in 2001. This truly remarkable sharp sunny view was taken from shoreside with a professional 35mm SLR camera using a high quality 50mm standard lens. I can attest that this slide is devoid of marks, scratches and blemishes as well as to its high quality, much better than this low resolution scan.
